…….Vice Chancellor, Prof. Fagbohun praises First Class multiple award winner for doing the University proud…….A First Class recent graduate of the Lagos State University, Kehinde Adebiyi, has been Appointed Programme Coordinator At Millennium Campus Network (MCN), a Boston US based-global non-profit organisation convening and training 21st century social impact leaders.
Noha Al-Khalqi, the Programme Director of the MCN while announcing Kehinde’s appointment said: “It is with great pleasure that I formally extend you this job offer to serve as the Programme Coordinator for Millennium Fellowship with MCN. Your passion and enthusiasm for social impact and elevating young students around the world will be an asset to our organisation.”
Kehinde Adebiyi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology from the Lagos State University and he is a recipient of numerous local and international scholarships such as the Gani Fawehinmi Scholarship, Jagal Foundation Scholarship, Fidson and Healthcare Scholarship, among others. In June this year, Kehinde won the Union Bank Rise Challenge Award for his invaluable contributions to helping others rise during the Covid-19 Pandemic. He is the National Director of Campuses for SDGs-ACT Nigeria. With over three years of experience, he leads and coordinates all campus SDGs Advocacy groups in Nigeria. Kehinde also served as the 2020 YouthLead Ambassador Peer Advisor where he supervised selected civic leaders across the globe, a project sponsored by USAID. In 2019, he led the largest SDGs campus advocacy to over 20,000 students in Nigeria thereby earning him the reputable award of SDGsACT Nigeria Man of the Year, 2018; Millennium Fellow Hall of Fame; Hesselbein Fellowship amongst others.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olanrewaju Adigun Fagbohun, SAN, NPOM, congratulates Kehinde Adebiyi on his meritorious appointment as Programme Coordinator and thanks him for doing the University proud with his exploits in SDG Advocacy.
Prof. Fagbohun notes that Kehinde, all through his stay at the University, from 2016 to 2020, distinguished himself as a resourceful, smart and balanced young man who combined academic excellence and impactful social advocacy with admirable gusto. He thanks him for consistently doing the University proud and wishes him success in his new role.
