Barcelona are in need of a quick-fix replacement for the injured Luis Suarez and interestingly the Blaugrana are looking at another Luis Suarez.
As per journalist Santi Ovalle from Spanish radio program El Larguero, with Suarez suffering a long-term knee injury and Ousmane Dembele also set to be sidelined for months, they are looking to sign the Uruguayan’s namesake on an emergency basis.
The other Luis Suarez is a 22-year old Colombian who is actually contracted to Watford, having signed back in 2017 following a spell at sister club Granada.
He’s currently on loan at second-tier Real Zaragoza, where he’s scored an impressive 14 goals in 24 games so far this season.
Barca have made contact with the player and could be eligible to make a reinforcement despite the January transfer window being closed due to their injury situation. However, the fact that Suarez is already on loan from Watford could prove problematic.
If a deal can be done, he will become the third player named Luis Suarez to turn out for Barcelona.
