Liverpool star Sadio Mane has been crowned the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Africa’s Men Player of the Year for 2019.
Mane beat his Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah and 2016 winner Riyad Mahrez of Manchester City and Algeria. Riyad Mahrez to win the much-coveted award at a ceremony.
The Senegalese won the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup trophies with Liverpool and also led his country to the AFCON final in 2019, but Senegal lost to Algeria.
