Shehu Sani, the senator representing Kaduna Central, has reacted to Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF’s endorsement of President Muhammadu Buhari ahead of 2019 presidential election.
ACF on Tuesday endorsed the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari based on track records and achievements.
Acting chairman of the National Executive Committee of the ACF, Musa Kwande, made the disclosure at the forum’s secretariat in Kaduna.
Kwande said the strides by the Buhari administration to improve and re-position the nation economically as well as its achievements in combating insurgency led to the forum’s decision to stand by him.
Reacting, Sani took to his Twitter page and wondered if Arewa forum’s endorsement will be dismissed as being “irrelevant”.
The Kaduna lawmaker wrote: “Now that the Arewa Consultative Forum has jumped into the political ring and reportedly endorsed Baba, will they also be dismissed as irrelevant club of old men like the Prof Ango Abdullahi led Northern Elders Forum, that endorsed the ex VP, or will they be described differently.”
