The National Assembly (NASS) complex in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has been been shut down by angry workers protesting over unpaid salaries.
The protesters have since shut down the chambers of the National Assembly, demanding payment of their salaries, allowances and promotion by the management of the National Assembly.
The Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, and some lawmakers who attempted to gain access into the two chambers, were stopped by the angry workers.
