Shocking pictures show the front Immobile‘s Land Rover SUV completely destroyed following the crash close to the Stadio Olimpico, Lazio’s home ground.
He and his two daughters were taken to hospital but are understood to not be badly injured, according to local media.
Immobile told AGTW at the scene: “The tram ran a red light.
“Luckily I’m fine, my arm just hurts a little.”
