Senate President Bukola Saraki has brokered a truce between the two Osun governorship candidates, seeking to contest on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
An agreement between Senator Ademola Adeleke and Dr Akin Ogunbiyi was signed and witnessed by Saraki.
According to the Senate President, the move was to show that the party is united.
A tweet via the Saraki’s handle on Wednesday read: “Following marathon meetings today in Abuja, I am pleased to announce that we have a signed agreement between PDP gubernatorial candidate, Senator Adeleke and his rival, Dr. Ogunbiyi. As we approach the September 22, 2018 governorship election, our party moves forward as one.”
