#EdoNoBeLagos: IGP Adamu Announces Curfew In Edo State [DETAILS]—A state curfew to begin by 11:59pm on Friday and end by 6pm on Saturday has been imposed by the IG of Police, Mohammed Adamu in Edo state.
The IG of Police ordered the restriction on vehicle activities so as to curtail the movement of illicit arms, hard drugs and political thugs. He told the citizens to see it as part of necessary sacrifices towards the enthronement of democracy
He encouraged them to go out en-masse and vote, assuring them that security agencies have been mobilized to sufficiently provide a secure environment for voting.
Frank Mba, as a spokesperson for the police in a statement said this would ensure public order and safety during the governorship election.
Stern warning was also issued against all forms of violence, snatching of ballot boxes, vote-buying, vote-selling, hate speeches, and other acts capable of compromising the electoral processes.
