JUST IN: KwaraPoly Sacked 7 Lecturers Over Alleged Affiliation With Opposition—-Kwara State Polytechnic has terminated appointment of seven lecturers over alleged affiliation with opposition in the state.
The Genius Media Nigeria reports that the Polytechnic staff were sacked after series on pressure from Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s Appointees.
The termination of appointment dated December 17, 2024 was signed by Principal Assistant Registrar, S.S. Gesua on behalf of the Polytechnic Registrar.
The letter read in part: “I am directed to issue letter of termination to you as your services in longer required in the Polytechnic.”
Affected lecturers include Nafiu Toyin Abdukadir (Department of Social Development), Mutiat Agaka (Crime Management Department), Abubakar Saadu (Institute of Technology) and four others.
Our Correspondent gathered that the affected Polytechnic Lecturers were sacked following meeting with some Appointees at Government House, Ilorin on December 16, 2024.
A credible source at Government House told FactualTimes Reporter that One of the Governor’s Aide gave Kwara State Polytechnic Rector, Dr Abdul Jimoh Mohammed list of staff to be sacked.
“They were alleged of having affiliation with opposition and working against Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.” The source added
Meanwhile, some Government Appointees and Allies of Governor Abdulrazaq have contacted the sacked lecturers not to reveal intrigues surrounding their ordeal to media.
