Mikel Arteta has reportedly agreed a new three-year deal with Arsenal – ensuring he remains at the Emirates Stadium until 2027.
The Genius Media Nigeria gathered that the 42-year-old Spaniard was in the final 12 months of his current deal with the Gunners, who he joined from Manchester City in December 2019 after spending time at the Etihad as Pep Guardiola’s No.2.
The Athletic reports that Arteta, who won the FA Cup during his first season at the club, has agreed a new deal with the club as both parties looked to “eliminate any uncertainty” about his future by agreeing fresh terms.
Arsenal return to Premier League action this weekend when they face Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby.
