Samson Siasia is set to return to Nigeria’s national team set-up following the end of his FIFA ban.
The Genius Media reports that Barring any last-minute change of mind, the 57-year-old will be part of an interim coaching crew as the Super Eagles prepare to face the Benin Republic and Rwanda in AFCON 2025 qualifiers next month.
Siasia was handed a five-year ban by FIFA over allegations of match-fixing.
However, he completed the ban six days ago and is now free to return to football.
OwnGoalNigeria reports that Siasia has been in talks to join an interim setup for the Eagles, with a substantive coach yet to be appointed by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.
NFF technical director Augustine Eguavoen is expected to take charge of the two games and will be assisted by local coaches.
