England And Chelsea Star, Cole Palmer has been named PFA Young Player of the Year.
The Genius Media Nigeria reports that the 22-year-old collected the award from Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola at a ceremony held in Manchester on Tuesday.
The England forward, who left Manchester City for Chelsea last summer, scored 22 goals and registered 11 assists during his debut season at Stamford Bridge.
The Chelsea forward made his mark on England’s EURO 2024 campaign. He provided a crucial assist for Ollie Watkins in a last-minute win over the Netherlands before going on to score the equaliser in England’s narrow defeat to Spain in the competition final.
Palmer won the award ahead of two of his England teammates Bukayo Saka and Kobbie Mainoo, with Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho also among those nominated.
