BREAKING: Spain Defeat Germany To Qualify For #UEFA #EURO2024 Semi Final—-The Genius Media Nigeria reports that Spain has just eliminated the host, Germany from the ongoing EURO 2024 competition.

Mikel Merino scored at extra time as Spain beat Germany 2-1 at the Euro 2024 quarterfinal

With this, Germany becomes the first Euro host nation to be Knocked at the quarter-final stage.

The Host nation couldn’t make much happen from their end as they fought until the end which didn’t go their way.

It was an amazing victory as Euro 2024 title favorites continued their campaign with another one that put them at the top of the country that could win the cup.

The match was the biggest for the quarter final stages which both countries came into the game with high expectations.

Spain started well with them bossing play until Toni Kroos foul on Pedri saw the player being replaced in what could be his last match for the Euros.

It was good for Germany who also did their bit trying to see what they could make happen as the encounter pushed on further with them searching for something more.

There was so much that came to play but nothing could change the scoreline which remained the same between them hitting the 40 minutes mark.

Spain and Germany settled for a 0-0 goalless 45 minutes of action which saw them unable to make anything much happen despite the chances.

There was more on the two ends as both teams did well enough but it was unfortunate that just one team were able to make the day for themselves.

Germany continue to push forward with everything they had but it wasn’t paying them as much as they needed with things staying goalless.

Dani Olmo made it count in the 51st minutes after a good teamwork with Yamal Lamine who was able to make the assist before the striker finished off to make it 1-0.

The game carried on until the 89th minutes which saw Florian Writz netting a equalizer making sure both teams finished the 90 minutes with a 1-1 scoreline.

Things carried on in the extra time with them both fighting hard and making opportunities until the 119th minutes which saw Dani Olmo setup Mikel Merino who scored to make it 2-1.

It was unfortunate for Germany who are the host nation and were beaten 2-1 by Spain who made it into the semifinal after 120 minutes of action played.
