BREAKING: Rivers LG Chairman Asari Toru Flees As Residents Takes Over Council Secretariat [VIRAL VIDEO]—-The Genius Media Nigeria reports that the Local government chairman of Asari Toru LGA has fled for safety after residents of the LGA invaded the council secretariat.
This is coming on the heels of the current crisis in the state involving LGA chairmen and the governor, Sim Fubara.
The LGA chairmen have indicated that they would not vacate their positions even though their tenure will be expiring tomorrow. The case has been presented in court and the next sitting would be after their tenure expiration which means they have to vacate their positions before the next court sitting.
Security operatives have also gotten to the council secretariat.
