BREAKING: Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi Confirmed Dead In Helicopter Crash [VIDEO]—-In a tragic incident, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has been confirmed dead by the iranian authorities.

 

 

They both lost their lives when their helicopter crashed as it was crossing mountain terrain in heavy fog.

 

 

The whereabouts of the crash had been unknown until a search party was able to confirm the passing of the president and the helicopter’s crash site. The crash was met with more than 20 rescue teams that scoured the area. Raisi, who was 63 years old, was elected Iran’s president in 2021.

 

 

The country’s foreign minister and other officials were also on board the helicopter, which apparently crashed in the mountainous northwest region of Iran yesterday.

 

 

“The president of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ebrahim Raisi, had an accident while serving and performing his duty for the people of Iran and was martyred,” Iran’s Mehr agency says, as other media outlets also reported the news.

 

 

Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has also been declared dead.

 

 

Iran has faced years of mass protests against its Shiite theocracy over an ailing economy and women’s rights, making this moment particularly sensitive for Tehran.

 

 

The situation is further complicated by the Israel-Hamas war, which is inflaming tensions across the wider Middle East and impacting the future of the country.
