BREAKING: PHIL FODEN Hits Hat-Trick As Manchester City Defeat Brentford—-Phil Foden scored a hat-trick on Monday as Manchester City thrashed Brentford 3-1 to move second in the premier league table.
Brentford shockingly took the lead against the champions in the 21st minute of the match.
Some very poor defending from the opponent allowed Neal Maupay the chance to get to the edge of the box and he made no mistake with a lovely finish to make it 1-0.
In the 45th minute, Kevin De Bruyne placed a shot from the edge of the box towards the bottom right corner, but Mark Flekken made a terrific save to deny him.
City hit back three minutes into the first half added time. Foden fired the rebound low into the middle of the goal after the ball broke to him in the box.
Few minutes after the restart, a perfectly lofted pass from Kevin De Bruyne found Foden, who jumped highest and steered a close-range header straight into the bottom right corner to make it 1-2 for the visitors.
Midway into the second half, Erling Haaland laid the ball off to Foden, who shot from close range into the bottom left corner, leaving the goalkeeper helpless to make it 1-3.
