President #Tinubu Mourns Saudi Prince Talal Abdulaziz—-President Bola Tinubu commiserates with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman of Saudi Arabia, and the Royal House of Saud on the passing of Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The President acknowledged the departed Prince’s excellent and dedicated service to his country throughout his outstanding career in the Royal Saudi Air Force and the Saudi Intelligence Agency.
This is contained in a statement by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, on Saturday in Abuja.
”As his memory is forever etched in the annals of the Kingdom he loved dearly, the President prays God Almighty to grant repose to the soul of the departed, and comfort for the Royal House of Saud, the Kingdom, and all who mourn this irreparable loss,” he said.
Prince Talal was the son of Prince Bandar and the grandson of the first Saudi monarch, King Abdulaziz.
Born in 1961, he was a lieutenant colonel in the Royal Saudi Air Force and served as assistant intelligence chief at the GIP, the Saudi intelligence agency, from 2004 to 2012.
Lebanon’s Al Mashhad news outlet reported that the prince died when his F-15 fighter jet crashed during a training exercise with the air force on Thursday.
