BREAKING: President Tinubu’s Minister Escape Death In Plane Mishap As Aircraft Skid-Off Runway At Ibadan Airport—-A serving minister, whose identity has been withheld, narrowly escaped a potentially fatal incident on Friday evening as a privately owned aircraft skidded off track at the Ibadan Airport in the Alakia area of Oyo State’s capital.
Nigerian Tribune reports that the incident, which occurred during the aircraft’s landing, led to the plane veering off its intended path and into the nearby bush. Fortunately, no lives were lost, and no property damage was reported.
According to the report, emergency response teams, including personnel from the State Fire Service, Federal Fire Services, and the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, swiftly and effectively managed the situation.
The aircraft’s departure was from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. While specific details surrounding the mishap remain undisclosed, Yemi Adeyimika, the General Manager of the State Fire Service, confirmed the incident, highlighting that prompt intervention from multiple fire service teams effectively controlled the situation.
