BREAKING: Late #Mohbad’s Case Transferred To DPP And Ministry Of Justice—-Famous Nigerian film actress, director, and producer Iyabo Ojo has disclosed that the case involving the late singer Mohbad has been transferred to the office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution(DPP) and the Ministry of Justice.
The actress gave the update in an Instagram post on Tuesday, adding that the police are still waiting for the toxicology report.
In a statement titled “Update on Mohbad’s case,” Iyabo wrote: “The case has been transferred to the DPP……Directorate of Public Prosecution, Ministry of Justice, while the police say they are still waiting on the toxicology results. Mohbad’s remains have not yet been released.”
The 46-year-old also said Mohbad’s wife was interrogated three times to the best of her knowledge, one of which was on September 21.
“Also, Mohbad’s wife has been interrogated 3 times to the best of my knowledge, 2 out of the 3times was the day you all saw Mohbad’s dad televised by the police in which they addressed the public on Mohbad’s case, later that same day Mohbad’s dad, mum and wife was sent to Panti for interrogation and to write their statement, another day Mohbad’s wife was interrogated was the 21st of September 2023….. reason why Tonto and Senator Ishaku Abbo met her absences…Please note that the CCTV camera in Mohbad’s house was never fixed or connected, it has no BVR or Hard disk,” she wrote.
In conclusion, the Iyabo added: “Good News….DJ Splash @djsplashgram has been discharged, and he is recovering very fast….. very soon, he will go write his own statement and will also be addressing the general public. God bless us all.”

Mohbad, 27, died on 12 September and was buried the following day in Ikorodu, Lagos.
Following Mohbad’s demise, the paternity of his six-month-old son has become a topic of discussion. Some social media users demanded that the late rapper’s wife submit their son for a DNA test to prove her loyalty to Mohbad.
The police, however, exhumed his corpse on September 21 for autopsy following calls for investigation.
Several persons namely Naira Marley, Sam Larry, Primeboy, Spending and a nurse, were in police custody over the incident.
