BREAKING: #Obidients Devastated As Baba-Ahmed Joins Tinubu Government, Appointed As Special Adviser—Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, the elder brother of Datti Baba-Ahmed, has been named as the special adviser on political matters to Vice-President Kashim Shettima in President Bola Tinubu’s government.
Datti Baba-Ahmed previously ran as the vice-presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the February 25 election.
Hakeem, who is also the spokesperson of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), made this announcement in a post on his official Twitter page on Monday.
He said now is not the time for fence-sitting or criticism and urged Nigerians to pray for him and the country.
“It is time to make it public that I have accepted the call to serve as Special Adviser (Political) to the VP, @KShettim,” he said.
“This is not the time for fence-sitting or criticism when you can be useful in turning the country round. I am honoured and humbled. Please pray for me & Nigeria.”

Datti, along with his party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, have taken their case to the Supreme Court, contesting Bola Tinubu’s electoral win.
They are joined at the Supreme Court by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar. Both parties assert their victory in the February presidential polls.
