Peter Obi had said that there were irregularities in the results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission, hence, prayed the court to announce him as the winner.

It was made known that the Labour party failed to specifically mention the polling units where the irregularities took place.

While the Labour Party claimed to have won, the tribunal held that the party failed to mention the number of votes they got at the election
