BREAKING: Sergio Ramos Joins Ittihad Jeddah From #PSG?—-Ittihad Jeddah have reportedly agreed a deal with former Real Madrid and Spain captain Sergio Ramos on a free transfer.
A few days ago Turkish giants Beşiktaş confirmed that their negotiations with Anderson Talisca and Sergio Ramos have fallen through due to financial matters.
Sergio Ramos has been a free agent after his contract with PSG expired this summer and his name was linked with several European and Gulf clubs this summer.
It was previously revealed that Ittihad Jeddah has opted against signing the Spanish centre-back after both parties failed to agree on the duration of the contract.
Ramos was keen on a two-year deal, while Ittihad offered just a one-year deal, but it looks like they have finally reached a middle ground to put an end to a long saga.
According to Saudi publication Arriyadiyah, Ittihad will sign Ramos on a free transfer after the player agreed on a one-year deal with an option of a further year.
The deal comes as Ittihad boss Nuno Santo was keen on finding a replacement for injured Ahmed Hegazi as the club lost Hassan Tambakti to rivals Al-Hilal.
The Tigers have lost their first game of the season following a 3-4 defeat to Al-Hilal on Friday night despite being 3-1 up at half-time.
