All 20 teams have recovered from the thrill and action of the 2022/23 season.

And even as the new season starts to heat up, attention is now on the summer transfer window. Clubs are making moves to strengthen their rosters even as they look forward to grabbing the title from Manchester City. The window closes on September 1. Here is a look at some of the top transfers so far.

Manchester City

Online sportsbooks and betting apps will have a field day with the traffic Gvardiol Mateo Kovacic is about to bring in. Manchester City has acquired the former Chelsea midfielder for £25m. Pep Guardiola’s team also managed to snag Josko Gvardiol for £77.5m and release Terrell Agyemang and Ilkay Gundogan on free transfer. Joel Wilson-Esbrand is on loan to Reims, and Riyad Mahrez has been sold to Al Ahli for an impressive £30m.

Arsenal

The Gunners have made some major changes this season, acquiring Jurrien Timber for £34m, Declan Rice for £105m, and Chelsea’s Kai Havertz for £65m. The team also let go of Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Matt Smith, and Tom Smith on a free transfer. Defender Zach Awe and George Lewis have been released from their contracts, with Mauro Bandeira on loan to Colchester, and Granit Xhaka sold for £21.5m.

Liverpool

Szoboszlai is now a Reds player, having been acquired for £60m. He is joined by Brighton’s former midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, who signed a five-year contract for an undisclosed amount. The Reds are missing forward Roberto Firmino and midfielder James Milner, out on free transfer. Harvey Davies is out on loan to Crewe, and two players, Jordan Henderson, and Fabinho, have left the team for Saudi Arabia.

Manchester United

Manchester United acquired midfielder Mason Mount for £55m, Inter Millan’s Andre Onana for £44m, forward Rasmus Hojlund for £72m, and Jonny Evans on free transfer. Meanwhile, the team has released Axel Tuanzebe and Ethan Galbraith from their contracts and Manni Norkett on a free transfer. Midfielder Marcel Sabitzer’s loan with the club is over, and Anthony Elanga has been sold for £15m.

Tottenham

The biggest news on the Tottenham front is that the team has lost Harry Kane to Bayern Munich for £86.4m. Pundits predict trouble for the Spurs, but they might survive thanks to the addition of Alejo Veliz (£13m), Micky van de Ven (£43m), James Maddison (£40m), and Juventus’ Dejan Kulusevski (£25m).

Wrapping Up

The Summer transfer window opened on June 13, allowing EPL teams to reshuffle, reorganize, and rejuvenate their rosters. With domestic deals officially closed since July 1, managers will be looking to close international transfers before 23: 00 September 1. It will be exciting to see how these moves affect the EPL standings and individual team odds.
