According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Chilean has reached an agreement with his former club and will undergo a medical on Friday.
Romano tweeted:
Alexis Sánchez, in Milano right now to sign in as new Inter player on short term deal. Medical tests booked on Friday.
Sanchez is a free agent after his deal at Marseille expired this summer.
The 34-year-old has previously played for Arsenal and Manchester United in the Premier League.
