BREAKING: Lauren James Out As As Confirmed List Of #FIFAWWC Match Between #England Vs #Colombia Revealed—In less than 10 minutes, England will be playing their Women’s World Cup quarter-final clash with Colombia.
The European champions scraped through their Round of 16 game against Nigeria on penalties and will start this morning’s match as favourites.
However, the Lionesses have struggled to replicate their best form so far Down Under and Sarina Wiegman will take nothing for granted against the South American underdogs.
England are having to make do without star striker Lauren James, who was sent off for a stamp on Nigeria’s Michelle Alozie in the last 16.
The Chelsea striker, who will miss a potential semi-final but will be available to play in next weekend’s final if England get there, has been replaced in the starting lineup by Ella Toone in the only change from Monday’s win.
