JUST IN: Ailing Governor #Akeredolu Officially Transmits Power To Deputy [DETAILS]—The Ondo State House of Assembly has received a letter from Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu alerting them that he will be on a 21-day medical break.
Additionally, he delegated authority to Lucky Aiyedatiwa, his deputy, who would serve as the state’s governor until he returns from his leave.
The letter requesting a leave of absence for medical reasons was delivered to the Assembly on Tuesday, according to the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji.
Oladiji explained that “The Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu (SAN) CON has embarked on a 21-day leave for medical treatment abroad starting from 7th of June, 2023 to 6th of July, 2023.
“The letter States that the leave which commenced on 7th of June, extends to 6th of July, 2023 due to the Public Holidays on June 12(Democracy Day) and Eid el Kabir(28th and 29th,June,2023).
“The Governor, who has directed his Deputy, Hon.Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to act as the Governor while away, has assured of his resumption on the 6th of July, 2023.”
