BREAKING: Real Madrid Signs Harry Kane For £100M?—Real Madrid have entered the race to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane after it was announced that Karim Benzema would be departing the Spanish club this summer.
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has put the 29-year-old at the top of his striker wishlist and has also added Chelsea’s Kai Havertz to his transfer targets. Real Madrid are “unlikely” to pay £100m for Kane, but will enter negotiations with Spurs.
The Mirror states: “Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti wants them to move for Kane while they are also eyeing a move for Chelsea striker Kai Havertz to replace Benzema.
“Spurs chairman Daniel Levy does not want to sell and will demand in excess £100m to scare off potential interest. Levy has been adamant that he will not sell to a Premier League rival and that looks set to thwart Manchester United’s interest this summer.
“It now remains to be seen whether Real Madrid can turn Kane’s head and also tempt him to leave his beloved Tottenham this summer. They are highly unlikely to agree to pay £100m for a player who turns 30 next month and has a year left on his contract but also know Levy is a tough negotiator.”
