What Lionel Messi Said After Leaving PSG—Lionel Messi has finally bid farewell to Paris Saint-Germain in a brief statement after the Parisians confirmed he would leave at the end of the season.
Messi helped PSG win two successive French Ligue 1 titles after joining the club on a free transfer from Barcelona in 2021.
The Argentina World Cup winner scored 32 goals in 74 games for PSG.
“I would like to thank the club, the city of Paris and its people for these two years.
“I wish you all the best for the future,” Messi told PSG’s official website.
In a separate interview, Messi said: “I am happy to have been able to represent PSG – I really enjoyed playing on this team and with such good players. I want to thank the club for a wonderful experience in Paris.”
Messi has been linked with a return to Barcelona, a move to the MLS and also Saudi Pro League.
