BREAKING: Brendan Rodgers Sacked By #Leicester City—Leicester City have parted company with Brendan Rodgers, the club has announced.
This was made known via the official twitter handle of the club
The Foxes dropped into the Premier League’s bottom three on Saturday following a 2-1 loss at fellow strugglers Crystal Palace, a run that extends their winless run to seven games.
Leicester haven’t tasted victory since a 4-1 win over Tottenham on February 11, taking just one point from their last six league games. They were also stunned by Championship side Blackburn Rovers in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Rodgers was appointed manager in February 2019, guiding the club to their first FA Cup triumph in 2021.
The statement read:
Leicester City Football Club has reached a mutual agreement with Brendan Rodgers that will see him leave the Club after four years as our Men’s First Team Manager.
