The Genius Media Nigeria reports that French prosecutors have now opened an investigation into the Morocco player.

A 24-year-old woman has now accused Hakimi of raping her in a Paris suburb on February 25.

According to the Daily Mail, She reported the incident to the police last week Sunday but refused to press charges.

However, The public prosecutor’s office handling the case has declined to comment.

They said that ‘information out in the public’ by the media ‘has made the investigations more difficult to find out the truth’.

Hakimi was a key player for Morocco as his national team finished fourth in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

He helped the north African country to become the first Arab country to reach the last four at a World Cup.
