#HGConvention23: Healthgarde Unveils Rugby Star “The Beast” As Ambassador, Rewards Distributors At 3rd Year Anniversary In Lagos [PHOTOS]—–Nigeria’s Healthgarde International has unveiled renowned Rugby World Cup champion, Tendai Mtawarira, popularly known as “The Beast” as its first brand partner and envoy.
The company did the unveiling at the yearly convention which is held to celebrate some achievers of the previous year. Speaking to the press shortly after The Beast was unveiled, the Chief Operating Officer, Lovelyn Bassey explained that Mtawarira was specially selected as its ambassador based on his inspiring story to stardom, which she said is relatable to a Nigerian dream.
She noted that the choice of the South African national Rugby team legend, who is also a Regional Ambassador for Eastern and Southern Africa for UNICEF is as a result of his personal works for the development of youth in the areas of health and sports. Mtawarira is particularly passionate about improving educational opportunities for the most vulnerable children.
She said, “And we also wanted that entrepreneurial spirit so it couldn’t just be any other South African. It had to be somebody who, when you look at his work, his upbringing, he also fits into the Nigerian story coming from a humble home and getting a scholarship to study. One thing he was good at was playing rugby, his size and you look at the Nigerian story where you find some awesome kids where they’re good at soccer, and that help them through school, all of that and through live.”
Speaking further on Healthgarde, the COO disclosed that the company is a leading health supplement outfit in the country and a major nature network marketing player in Africa. She added that Healthgarde products ranges from immune boosters to general wellness, libido boosting, and also for special treatments like diabetics and high blood pressure. She added that the company wishes to build a sustainable business which can stand test of time, irrespective of economic conditions such as inflation.
In his remarks, Mtawarira encouraged the Nigerian youth to be steadfast in their endeavours and aim for a better future. He also disclosed that he is working with his team on starting a Rugby programme and coaching clinic in Nigeria to promote the sports in the country. He added that he was proud to be associated with Healthgarde as the company resonates so much with his own personality and it is a pan-African company.
Speaking further about the event, the COO explained that Healthgarde been the only women based, Nigerian-owned multi-level network marketing company is goal driven and it rewards excellence of its business partners. She noted that the event is a yearly programme where best performers of the previous years are congratulated and rewarded so as to boost their morale and that of other partners in the business. She also added that though the company was birthed late 2019, it is fast growing and becoming a pan-African brand with presence in South Africa, Uganda, Ghana, Cameroon, United States of America and also in the United Kingdom.
The COO in her closing remarks stated that the goal of the Healthgarde is to empower women and elevate their statuses in the society as they use their skills set to promote their businesses as they sell the company’s products and contribute their quota to their respective families.
Healthgarde Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Nneka Lovelyn Nwarueze while speaking with the press at the event said in the three years of operation of the company, it has made history being the first Nigerian-owned multi-level marketing outfit that inspire people, especially women to make difference not only directly at themselves but also others around them.
