BREAKING: Former #Chelsea Boss, #Tuchel Name To Take Over Real Madrid—Former Chelsea head coach, Thomas Tuchel is reportedly among Real Madrid’s four-man shortlist of managers to succeed current boss, Carlo Ancelotti in the near future.
According to Fichajes, Tuchel is the favourite to take over as Real Madrid manager if Ancelotti vacates the post at the end of the 2022/23 season.
Ancelotti could reportedly become the next manager of the Brazilian national team after Tite stepped down as Selecao’s head coach following their 2022 FIFA World Cup quarter-final defeat against Croatia in Qatar.
The report added that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is apparently drawing up a contingency plan if Ancelotti departs Santiago Bernabeu and Tuchel is at the top of his list.
Tuchel won the UEFA Champions League with Chelsea in his first season at Stamford Bridge.
However, the German, who is currently a free agent, was sacked by the new owners led by Todd Boehly last September and was replaced with Graham Potter.
Second on the list to succeed Ancelotti is former Paris Saint Germain and Tottenham Hotspur manager, Mauricio Pochettino.
Pochettino has been without a club since leaving his role as PSG manager at the end of last season.
The third and fourth persons on the list to succeed Ancelotti are Real Madrid legend Raul Gonzalez and 2014 FIFA World Cup-winning coach, Joachim Low.
