Announcing his death on Thursday morning via an obituary signed and released by his children, it was said that the Lagos politician died in Madrid the capital in the early hours of the day.
“It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude to Almighty Allah that we announce the loss of our much-loved and admired patriarch, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, His Excellency, Ambassador Demola Seriki, on December 15, 2022.
Speaking on his last moments, the notice said “He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in Madrid, Spain,”

Demola Seriki was a politician, educator, businessperson, and public administrator. Born on November 30, 1959. He was appointed Nigeria’s ambassador to Spain in January 2021, and he held that position until his death. He was also accredited to represent Nigeria as the country’s permanent representative to the United Nations World Tourism Organization. He previously held the position of Minister of State for Defense in Nigeria.
