#Senegal Vs #Netherlands: Coach Van Gaal Shows Excitement As Sadio Mane Ruled Out Of Qatar 2022 #FIFAWorldCUP—-Netherlands coach, Louis van Gaal has recalled how he wanted to sign Sadio Mane for Manchester United when he was in charge at Old Trafford.

Van Gaal said he is a fan of the Bayern Munich forward.

Netherlands will play Senegal in the second game of the Group A of the ongoing World Cup in Qatar.

The same group has the host nation, Qatar and Ecuador, who are currently slugging it out in the opening game of the tournament.

Sadio Mane, who single-handedly qualified Senegal for the tournament, will not be lacing his boots in Qatar after sustaining an injury in Bayern Munich.

Van Gaal knows Netherlands will face less of a threat against Senegal without Mane, as he has long been a fan of the forward’s qualities.

“I wanted him when I was the manager at Man Utd,” Van Gaal told reporters ahead of the World Cup clash..

“I chased him at the time. I am a fan of Mane. He can break open a match and I would say Senegal will really miss him.”
