BREAKING: #Putin Colonel Found Dead In Mystery Assassination – #UkraineRussiaWar—A RUSSIAN commander closely involved in Vladimir Putin’s war effort has been found shot dead at his office.
Colonel Vadim Boyko, 44, who had been involved in the mobilisation campaign, reportedly had “multiple bullet wounds”
He was deputy head of the prestigious Makarov Pacific Higher Naval School in Vladivostok.
It was reported he came to work, entered his office, and soon afterwards five shots were heard.
Another officer heard the shots and then rushed to find Boyko – only to find his corpse.
Russian reporting initially said it was “suicide” – and he is latest senior figure to die in mysterious circumstances.
The suicide story was quickly questioned as the colonel would have had to shoot himself in the chest five times.
No suicide note was found.
BAZA media – which has close law enforcement links – said criminal investigators had found five shell casings and four Makarov pistols beside the dead colonel.
And the report challenged how the colonel could have shot himself in the chest five times.
BAZA reported that Boyko was responsible for working with conscripts who had been drafted in Putin’s mass mobilisation.
Thousands of untrained Russians are called up to fight by Mad Vlad in a desperate bid to prop up his failing war in Ukraine.
And the mobilisation has seen open rebellion in some corners as poorly equipped troops quickly end up on the frontline.
Russia has boasted some 82,000 conscripts from the emergency draft were ready for the frontline.
It is seen as a desperate bid to attempt to stop Ukraine’s surging counter offensive.
Boyko, a dad-of-two, was also reported to be in charge of armaments and ammunition at the elite academy.
Last month the body of Lt-Col Roman Malyk, 49, on a fence in the same Primorsky region.
The military commissar was in charge of enlistment for Putin’s chaotic mobilisation campaign in his district.
Initially suicide was suspected but later a murder probe was opened.
Five days later investigators claimed suicide was the likely cause of death.
But FederalPress Telegram channel reported that Malyk’s relatives and friends are disputing the finding, insisting he was “balanced and self-confident”.
Almost 100 military enlistment offices have been hit with Molotov cocktails amid anger over mobilisation.
Married father-of-two Malyk was a veteran of Russia’s war in Chechnya and friends and family strongly denied he killed himself.
He was in charge of enlistment in Partizan district and surrounding areas in Primorsky region.
Russia had foolishly expected to steamroller Ukraine and be welcomed as “liberators” – but they have faced a fierce fightback.
Cities and regions seized at the start of the war at the end of February are now being retaken by the Ukrainians.
The West is heavily supporting Kyiv – loading them up with the weapons they need to defeat Russia.
Putin’s future is now seen by many to be tied to the war – especially as he officially annexed parts of eastern Ukraine.
Kherson’s liberation now opens the gateway to Crimea, the territory illegally seized by Russia in 2014.
The return of the peninsula to Ukrainian hands would be an unprecedented failure for Putin.
And the war escalated again today when a stray missile fell across the Ukrainian border with Poland – killing two people.
Nato called an emergency meeting about the incident – which is believed to have been caused by a Ukrainian air defence missile.
And in a ratcheting up of tensions, one of Putin’s close & senior allies Dmitry Medvedev warned the world is heading towards World War 3.
The deputy chair of Russia’s top security council seemed to blame the strike on the West.
“The incident with the Ukrainian-alleged ‘missile strike’ on a Polish farm proves just one thing: waging a hybrid war against Russia, the West moves closer to the world war,” wrote Medvedev.
