#KWASU Breaks Silence Over Fake Study Centre In Ekiti State—-The Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, says a Study Centre in Ekiti, purportedly running a Degree and HND conversion programme with KWASU is fake and has no affiliation with the institution.
In a statement by Dr Saeedat Aliyu, Director, University Relations on Sunday, the fake study centre also claimed to be running postgraduate programmes of Kwasu.
”The management of KWASU wishes to state that the university has no knowledge of this establishment nor do the university have any affiliation with this illegality.
”For the avoidance of doubt, the Degree and HND Conversion programme of KWASU is run by the Institute of Professional and Continuous Education with four Study Centres.
”They are Kwara State Staff Development College, Fate, Ilorin; Kwara State Education Resource Centre, Tanke, Ilorin; Government Secondary School, Maraba, Ilorin; and KWASU International Conference Centre, Agric, Ilorin.
”KWASU’s Institute of Professional and Continuous Education do not have or run any study centre outside Ilorin, the Kwara capital.
”Similarly, KWASU do not run postgraduate degree programmes outside of the control of the School of Postgraduate Studies,” Dr Aliyu said.
She added that accurate information about all the programmes run by Kwara State University can be obtained on the KWASU website: web.kwasu.edu.ng.
”Importantly also, application forms into any programme of the institution are obtained only through the application platform: portal.kwasu.edu.ng.
”All payments are equally made online through the application platform.
”The general public is therefore cautioned against any dealings with this supposed study centre in Ekiti for the KWASU Degree and HND conversion programme and postgraduate programmes.
”Anyone who transacts any business with them do so at his or her risk,” the director said.
