BREAKING: #Jibrin Resigns As #PDP BoT Chair As #Wabara Takes Over—-The Chairman Board of Trustees (BoT) Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Walid Jibrin, has resigned.
The Genius Media Nigeria reports that Jibrin stated this at the ongoing PDP BoT meeting in Abuja.
He said this is to ensure the PDP candidate, former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, wins the 2023 election.
Meanwhile, Adolphus Wabara, former senate president, has replaced him.
His resignation comes amid ongoing crisis in the party.
He had argued that the leadership of the party is too pro north.
