Social Media Explodes As #Arsenal Start Season With 3/3 Wins For First Time In 18Years – #BOUARS—–Arsenal supporters have crawled out of the nooks and crannies of the internet’s crevices as their beloved team kept up a winning streak—now three games—to open the 2022/2023 season.

The North London club defeated Bournemouth 3-0, a scoreline that could have easily been more in a fluid performance on Saturday evening at the Vitality stadium.

Since then, the internet has blown up with analysts, pundits and football enthusiasts heaping praise on the Gunners for their perfect start to a new season. Some have also attempted to theorise the reasons for their successful showing in recent weeks.

Football journalist Simon Collings heaped praise on Arsenal’s newcomer striker Gabriel Jesus, who has been instrumental in everything good about Mikel Arteta’s new lineup. Jesus has contributed to five goals (scoring two of those himself) in the 2022/2023 season.

“Makes you realise just how good Man City are when Jesus and Zinchenko were squad players there. Both raised the level at Arsenal so much in opening three games,” Collings wrote on Twitter.

Popular transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano tweeted that Arsenal’s “strategy” so far has been “smart”.

“They wanted Vlahovic in January, it collapsed—had chance to sign 5-6 strikers offered but Edu and Arteta only wanted Gabriel Jesus. Decision to wait, save money and put efforts on Gabriel for June–£45m fee–seems worth it,” he said.

Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta dedicated Arsenal’s win to late Head Groundsman Steve Braddock, who passed away earlier this week.

Collings rated Arsenal centre-back as the ‘star player’ for Saturday’s game.

“What a performance from the centre-back. Dominant at the back as he dealt with Kieffer Moore and so composed on the ball. Topped off his display with a stunning goal,” he wrote in his player ratings for the evening’s encounter.

Saliba’s brilliance this evening was not lost on Arsenal’s dressing room either.

Of course, passionate Arsenal fans have begun to dream of better days again and will hope the club continues on this trajectory for the rest of the season.

Arsenal’s next encounter is against Fulham at the Emirates Stadium on August 27, 2022. Kickoff time: 5:30 pm (WAT).
