Governor Bello Mohammad Matawalle, the executive governor of Zamfara State, has expressed his utmost gratitude to all the delegates and the people of the state, who contributed in one way or another to ensure that he won the gubernatorial ticket for the forthcoming 2023 elections during the recently conducted APC primaries in the state.
The goovernor who spoke of the good conduct of the exercise, said it was a moment when the people through the party delegates made a collective decision to continue the good administration currently being experienced in the state, as against the chaos that past governments unleashed on the state.
Matawalle while addressing newsmen in Gusau, said that he is pleased with the delegates show of confidence in him and his entire administration.
He also commended the faithfulness of party members and the people of Zamfara State. “The gesture is indeed a vote of confidence in my personality, in my administration and the development that my administration has been able to bring to the state in the last few years,” said the governor.
Since assuming office as the Governor of Zamfara State, Governor Bello Mohammad Matawalle’s administration has been bedevilled by many challenges such as banditry and insecurity.
To tackle these major challenges, Matawalle said he had to come up with different strategies and that is why he has been having an upper hand and winning the battle against insurgency.
The governor went further to enumerate some of his achievements which has endeared the people to him, promising further that, he will not relent in his effort to provide a good environment for the people of the state to enable them thrives in business, education, health, investment and all other human endeavours.
It can be recalled that before Matawalle took over power on May 29th 2019, Zamfara State was in a state of coma, looting, banditry, endemic poverty, hunger, disease, was the order of the day. But within a short while, Matawalle turned things around, restoring hope and laying foundation for socio-economic economic growth of the state.
Today, Zamfara State is standing tall, with infrastructural development in all aspects of the states economy.
