The Genius Media Nigeria reports that The Immediate Past President Of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has rejected out rightly the purchase of Presidential  Nomination and Expression of Interest forms, of the All Progressives Congress APC for him by a group.

The former president described the act as an insult to his person, considering his position in the country.

This reliable platform recalls that a group of nomadic Fulani pastoralists and Almajiri communities on Monday picked the APC Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for former President Goodluck Jonathan, to contest the presidential ticket.

Leader of the group Malam Ibrahim Abdullahi told newsmen in Abuja, after picking the forms, that Jonathan should be re-elected to enable him to complete what he began.

However, a statement issued on Monday night by Media Aide to the former president , Ikechukwu Eze,  categorically stated that Dr. Jonathan was not aware of this bid and did not authorize it.

‘’We want to state that if the former President wanted to contest an election, he would make his intentions clear to the public and will not enter through the back door,’’ the statement said.

‘’While we appreciate the overwhelming request by a cross-section of Nigerians, for Dr. Jonathan to make himself available for the 2023 Presidential election, we wish to state, that he has not in anyway, committed himself to this request.’’

‘’Buying a presidential aspiration form in the name Dr. Jonathan without his consent, knowing the position he had held in this country, is considered an insult to his person.’’
