BREAKING: Nigerian Air Force Aircraft With Pilots Crashes In Kaduna—-According to The Cable Online, an aircraft belonging to the Nigerian Air Force has crashed in Kaduna.
TGM gathered that the details of the incident remain sketchy, the paper reported that the training aircraft had two pilots on board.
The latest crash is the second in 13 months, following the March 31, 2021 disappearance of a NAF 475 an alpha jet from the radar with two crew members, in Borno State.
Two days later, a Boko Haram faction loyal to Abubakar Shekau released a video claiming it shot down the jet. However, the crash may have been caused by inadequate maintenance of the fighter jets in NAF’s fleet, giving the pervasive corruption evident in numerous public institutions in the country.
Just four weeks ago, the army would then say troops of Operation Desert Sanity on clearance patrol in Sambisa Forest, Borno State, “uncovered the wreckage of crashed Alpha Jet aircraft (NAF475) that went off the radar with 2 crew members on 31 March 2021”.
It said “further exploitation” was ongoing, but nothing has been heard since.
