BREAKING: Pandemonium As #Russia Hits Fuel Depot In Ukraine’s City of #Lviv [VIDEO] – #UkraineRussiaWar–At least two rocket strikes hit Ukraine’s western city of Lviv on Saturday, wounding five people, as a fuel depot in the city was also gutted by fire.
“There have been two rocket strikes within the (city) limits of Lviv,” said regional Governor Maksym Kozytskyy in an online post.
Earlier he had reported three powerful explosions in the eastern edge of Lviv.
He spoke after local authorities told residents to seek shelter in the wake of powerful blasts on the city’s outskirts.
Reuters witnesses saw heavy black smoke rising from the northeast side of the city.
CNN reporter Don Lemon later reached the site of the attack, an industrial facility used for fuel storage in Lviv.
“According to the mayor, he believes it is a Russian military strike on this facility,” Lemon reported.
Mayor Andriy Sadovyi said that “habitable infrastructure was not injured,” in a tweet confirming the burning of the facility.
Firefighters and first responders were on the scene.
But TV footage provided by CNN showed them helpless as the fire relentlessly devoured the depot.
