JUST IN: Akporiaye Returns Unopposed As #NANTA National President [PHOTO]—Mrs Susan Akporiaye has been returned unopposed as the National President of the National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies (NANTA) for the second time.
This was announced after the completion of NANTA’s election , conducted during its 46th Annual General Meeting on Friday in Kano.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that others elected into various positions were: Kabiru Maiwada, the first National Deputy President; Chima James-Ihe, second Deputy President; Yinka Ladipo, the Financial Secretary.
Others include: Olatokunbo Dagunduro, Treasurer; Yinka Olapade, Internal Auditor and Mrs Lola Adewole, the Public Relations Officer.
Akporiaye appreciated all NANTA members for their cooperation and the unity enjoyed in the last two years of her first tenure, urging them to ensure the bond of unity be strengthened.
“I appreciate the unity enjoyed over the past two years of my tenure, most especially the eastern zone members, I appreciate your display of unity.
“This bond of unity should continue, this will make us break barriers, let us stand united in what we believe in so that we can achieve our common goals,” she said.
Akporiaye urged all members to intensify efforts in the promotion of the nation’s cultural heritage as they market Nigeria’s tourism potential to local and international tourists
