2023 ELECTIONS: Two Major Political Groups Declare Support For APC—-The two major political groups in Zamfara, namely “Dangote Foundation and Sen Marafa Gida-Gida”, have declared their total support to the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership in the state under the chairmanship of Alhaji Tukur Danfulani.
This is contained in a statement issued in Gusau on Thursday by the State APC Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris.
Idris said the two strong political groups, with over 16,000 members, stated this during the solidarity visit to the APC leadership in the state at the party Secretariat in Gusau on Thursday.

“The two groups also declared that Gov Bello Matawalle remains the only APC leader in the state,” Idris added.
According to him, a total of 2,885 APC members from Dauda Lawal Dare’s political camp and 14,000 Sen. Kabiru Marafa’s loyalists announced their solidarity and support to APC leadership in the state.
“One of the groups is a strong pillar in Dauda Lawal Dare’s political camp, popularly known as “Dangote Foundation, under the leadership of Mujitaba-Idris Dangote with a total of 2,885 members.
“Dangote told a large crowd of APC supporters at the party’s state Secretariat that he, along with all his 22 ward chairmen in Gusau and Tsafe local government areas as well as 2,885 members resolved to abandon Dauda Lawal’s political camp and joined APC leadership in the state under Alhaji Tukur Danfulani.
“All the former structures that were working in support of Dauda Lawal in all the two local government areas have now been fully integrated into the mainstream APC and will remain loyal to Gov. Matawalle and the chairmanship of Danfulani,” Idris said.
“Meanwhile, over 14,000 members of Sen Kabiru Marafa’s group, under a renowned political group in the state, “Sen. Marafa Gida-Gida”, led by Hajiya Hadiza Rufai-imam, have also declared their political loyalty to the APC leadership in the state,” he explained.
Idris quoted Hajiya Hadiza Rufai-imam as saying that the decision of the group to abandon its former political leader was in realization of the efforts to work against the unity of the party for the benefits of the state,” Idris explained.
“Receiving the two political groups, the APC Chairman in the state, Tukur Danfulani, expressed gratitude to Allah for making the groups realize the good intentions of the Matawalle-led administration and the effort of the APC leadership to bring all members as one big united family.
“Danfulani said the two political groups have always been seen as full members of the party, adding that they were only deceived by their former political bosses.
“He assured that his leadership will carry everyone along ahead of the 2023 general elections,” Idris added
