LASBCA Seals 60 Buildings In Lagos [PHOTO]—–In a bid to rid the State of illegal and non-conforming structures, the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) has sealed over 60 buildings in Ikoyi, Amuwo Odofin, Iba, Eti-Osa, Ogudu and Maryland areas for contravening building control laws.
A statement issued by the Head, Public Affairs Unit of the Agency, Mrs. Adetayo Akitoye-Asagba, said the buildings were sealed for different contraventions including failure to respond to statutory notices served, non-conformity with approved drawings and absence of certified professionals on-site amongst others.
She disclosed that during a recent monitoring exercise, three distressed structures were identified and consequently sealed in Maryland and Iba areas of Lagos in order to avert any incident.
