BREAKING: 12 Staff Members Of SGF Boss Mustapha Contract Covid-19—As the world most deadly disease continue to spread like wild fire, 12 personnel at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, have also contracted coronavirus

The Genius Media Nigeria reports that all the affected staff were said to have been diagonized with the illness since Monday along with a senior minister in the government.

According to thewhistlerng report, all the affected staff are said to be in isolation.

The situation has spread panic in the office and the SGF and other senior officials are said to have banned entry into their offices as a precautionary measure.

The Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19 led by the SGF had issued a directive in October stating that civil servants without proof of vaccination and negative PCR tests would not be allowed to access government buildings.

But the lastest infections in the SGF office may be proof that vaccination does not give immunity against the pandemic.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has officially confirmed that the country was in the fourth wave of Covid-19, citing rising cases of new infections in the last two weeks.

The growing threat of a fourth wave of the pandemic led the PSC to advise Nigerians on Thursday to continue to take precautionary measures such as wearing facemasks and using hand sanitizer even after vaccination.

It also advised everyone to shun gatherings exceeding 50 persons.
