TAJ Foundation Donates 1,800 Bags Of Rice To IDPs In Adamawa—A Non Governmental Organisation, TAJ Foundation has donated 1,800 bags of of assorted rice to Adamawa Government for onward distribution to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the state.
Dr Mairo Mandara, Chairperson, Board of Trustees of the foundation presented the items to Adamawa Government, on Friday in Yola.
Mandara, represented by Hajia Halima Bobboi, said that the gesture was meant to support and assuage the suffering of the IDPs.
“We hope this sincere donation will effect change and further augment government efforts in battling the effects of poverty through support to the needy and vulnerable,” she said.
In his remarks, Dr Mohammed Sulaiman, Executive Secretary, Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA), commanded the gesture, adding that it would assist the IDPs and enhance food security.
