LASG Partners NESP On Building Energy Efficiency Code—The Lagos State Government has teamed up with the Nigerian Energy Support Programme (NESP) on the adoption of the Building Energy Efficiency Code to enhance Physical Planning in the State.

Speaking during the inauguration of the Technical Working Group (TWG) on the adoption of the Building Energy Efficiency Code (BEEC) for Lagos State in Ikeja at the weekend, the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr. Idris Salako, said that BEEC is the logical follow up to the Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiency (EDGE) that the Lagos State Government had subscribed to under the aegis of the International Finance Corporation.

He said further the programme would strengthen the resolve to ensure an organised, livable and sustainable physical environment as contained in the T.H.E.M.E.S. Agenda of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu led administration.
