Lagos Muslim Pilgrims Board Visits GM Radio Lagos/Eko Fm, Seeks Stronger Collaboration—The Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has called for stronger collaboration with Radio Lagos/Eko FM to strengthen the existing relationship between the two agencies.
The Executive Secretary, Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mr. Rahman Ishola, led some Management Staff of the Board on a courtesy visit to the new General Manager of the radio station, Mr. Jide Lawal.
Ishola said: “The relationship between the two organisations had greatly assisted the Board in achieving success while carrying out its statutory responsibilities for five consecutive years. During the period, the Board won merit awards from the Federal Government over its improved performance during Hajj exercises”.
Noting that the COVID-19 pandemic had hindered the performance of Hajj by Nigerian and other foreign pilgrims for the past two years, Ishola envisaged that from all indications and the positive signals emanating from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially on the performance of Umrah (Lesser Hajj) and other Hajj related activities, the 2022 Hajj exercise will hold.
