According to information obtained by The Genius Media Nigeria, the death toll from the collapsed 21-story building on Gerrard Road in Ikoyi has risen to 40 as of Friday morning, causing great distress to many families.
TGM findings reealed that Dele Momodu, a renowned journalist, and his wife, Mobolaji Abiodun, are among the survivors of the ill-fated building who have been in thanksgiving mode since the incident.
The Momodus are said to be family friends of Femi Osibona, the deceased owner of the collapsed Ikoyi building.
Dele Momodu and his wife paid a visit to the property a few days ago, and in a video seen by TGM Nigeria the veteran journalist filmed himself on top of the same wing that had collapsed a few days ago.
His wife Mobolaji was also seen in a video on top of the same collapsed Ikoyi building congratulating late Osibona on the project’s accomplishment.
